All reviewsReview of the bookmaker NetBet from Legalbet
Netbet is a sportsbook that has been on the market since 2001 and has targeted primarily French and English-speaking regions, but now it is expanding into other European countries. In September 2014, Netbet Poker merged with the online platform Poker770 and at that time has more than 2 million players registered.
Netbet is owned by the Cosmo Gaming Company Ltd. The main sponsorship partners are currently Saint Etienne in France and West Bromwich Albion in the UK.
Odds - Average
We calculated the margin for Netbet by analysing the odds they offer. We further ranked them in one of the following three categories:
From 1% to 5%: Good value
Over 5% to 7%: Average value
Over 7% to 10%: Poor value
Football
We’re getting our results by taking into account the odds for final result outcomes measured in line with the total goals scored for different football leagues. By getting the average results using this method, we were able to obtain the margins for each league and also the overall betting margin for the bookmaker.
Netbet has an overall margin of 5.29% for football and falls in the average value category. In the first section using odds from the Premier League, the margin is at 3.63%. The second section with Spanish La Liga and Italian Serie A, the margin is at 5.42%. Finally, by counting the English Football League One, Austrian Bundesliga and Polish Ekstraklasa, the margin is at 6.82%.
Range of Sports and Markets - Average
Range of Sports: Netbet has more than 30 sports available at the time of writing, all the major sports along with some more niche ones such as e-Sports and bandby. Naturally, football is where most of the attention is on, with all major plus other medium and small leagues being covered as well. Horse racing is well covered also, with every UK and Irish meeting being available to bet on and a number of other meetings held elsewhere being offered as well.
There is more to find in Netbet than just brilliant coverage of the traditional markets though. There is also tennis where you’ll find markets available for all major tournaments and also matches from the ATP, WTA and the Challenger tours. If then again American sports is what you are looking for then you are on a good place being able to bet on popular leagues such as the NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL, as well as both college basketball and football.
Range of Bets and Markets: The most betting options are available on big Premier League and Champions League football games, but less popular leagues are also well provided. First, the early Saturday kick-off has 163 markets including all the standard match odds, correct scores, over/under, but also corners, cards, half time and special bets. Lower league games, as an English League One match can be found having less than 100 markets, which is really more than enough for most punters.
Other sports are covered in various ways but you’ll find everything expected in most important games. The more popular the sport is, the more depth you may expect its market to have, with e-Sports having the lowest of just the final result. Mid-level sports such as tennis, snooker, golf and such provide all the options most of you will ever want.
Betting Limits: Bet limits are as expected and definitely acceptable for all recreational bettors.
In-Play Betting - Average
The live betting area is ok but nothing special as what you’ll find there is a decent number of options to bet on the covered events. The stats and info leave you searching for more as the only statistics you are given are actually the score and the ball possession. The live streaming is the big absent here, in times that is becoming a given to most bookmakers.
You can see what fixtures are coming up next from a handy tab in which you have the ability to customise your favorites and odds format as you prefer. Bets are placed quite fast as long as they are not too large, but the max stake amount is not known in advance, something that can lead to delays when bets are not accepted due to this reason.
All in all, the live section of the site will service most of the bettors just fine, without giving them any particular big doses of thrill or getting some more demanding players in there.
