Odds - Average

We calculated the margin for Unibet by analysing the odds they offer. We further ranked them in one of the following three categories:

From 1% to 5%: Good value

Over 5% to 7%: Average value

Over 7% to 10%: Poor value

Football

We’re getting our results by taking into account the odds for final result outcomes measured in line with the total goals scored for different football leagues. By getting the average results using this method, we were able to obtain the margins for each league and also the overall betting margin for the bookmaker.

Unibet has an overall margin of 5.40% for football and falls in the average value category. In the first section using odds from the Premier League and Championship, the margin is at 4.20%. The second section with Spanish La Liga and Italian Serie A, the margin is at 5.64%. Finally, by counting the English Football League One, Austrian Bundesliga and Polish Ekstraklasa, the margin is at 6.37%.

Range of Sports and Markets - Good

Range of Sports: Unibet offers betting markets on 35 individual sports, this number is one of the highest we have ever seen. It includes the usual Football, Horse racing and tennis, to every major US sport as well. Its main focus is of course on European sports, given the fact that this is where the majority of its customers are based but US Sports are also surprisingly well comprised, including niche sports like Surfing, UFC and even WWE Pro Wrestling.

Range of Bets and Markets: Football gets the main attention at Unibet and the number of games and bets you can bet on it at Unibet is really incredible.  At the time of writing (that’s a Friday evening prior to all the weekend action), there are 87,726 markets to bet on! This is spread across sports from all around the world, they literally cover just about everything. The number of markets for each sport depends on the league and profile of the event, but for the major ones, such as the English Premier League, you can bet on well over 300 different markets.

The markets on which someone could bet on at Unibet would spread across the following:

Full-Time results, Half Time results, Over/Under, 3 Way Handicaps, Asian Handicaps and Totals, Corners, Cards, Goal Scorers, Player Cards, Player Specials, Player Goals, Player and Team Shots, Scorecasts/Wincasts, Match Events, Special Bets and more.

Betting Limits: Bet limits here are quite high, ranging from several thousand for a main market to a few hundred for less popular events.

In-Play Betting - Good

For most sports, Unibet offers a complete “In Play” betting experience. You can enjoy live scores, stats, and top-quality live streaming, from Serie A football games to International Badminton meetings. To further increase the level of their live betting, they run a “bet club” where 5 bets in play each week of £10 or more qualify you for another £10 free-bet, not bad.

A sign of quality is also that you know your maximum stake amount before you make a bet and the odds for it are stable for 60 seconds (on select events) so you are not rushed into accepting bets that you’re not certain of or fail to get bets accepted all the time. The option to cash out is also available here.

About the bookmaker

With over 14.1 million registered users, nowadays the Unibet Group is one of Europe’s largest online bookmakers. Its motto is said to be “By Players, For Players”. Founded in 1997, Unibet first launched an English-language website in 1999 at the same time that the Swedish-language page was launched. Their player base is mainly found in the Scandinavian and Central European countries, but many punters come from other regions of the world too.

At Unibet they claim that their “purpose is to understand what you want before you do, and we don’t waste your time with products, services and promotions that you don’t need. This is because we are players ourselves and it is what we would want from a brand that we trust. We are By Players, For Players.”
