Mr Play’s Sportsbook is incredibly new having been launched in late September 2019. However, it is linked to “Mr Play’s” casino, which has a degree of pedigree and has been around for a little longer, since in 2017 in fact.
The ultimate ownership of Mr Play is a bit of a grey area but the majority of it is owned and operated by Aspire Global, an iGaming platform provider founded in 2005. Aspire also provide technology and customer support. Mr Play is based in Malta.
It should be noted that Mr Play doesn’t provide every deposit method for making a payment but they have all the main ones; Visa and Mastercard, PayPal, Neteller, Skrill, and Paysafe. The minimum deposit for all methods is €10, and all payments are processed instantly.
The only major gripe is that you are charged a fee for making credit card deposit of 2.5%, whilst not a lot in itself, it is something most places do not charge, and something to bear in mind if you withdraw and redeposit frequently.

We’re getting our results by taking into account the odds for final result outcomes measured in line with the total goals scored for different football leagues. By getting the average results using this method, we were able to obtain the margins for each league and also the overall betting margin for the bookmaker.
Mr.Play has an overall margin of 5.90% for football and falls in the average value category. In the first section using odds from the Premier League, the margin is at 5.12%. The second section with Spanish La Liga and Italian Serie A, the margin is at 6.14%. Finally, by counting the English Football League One, Austrian Bundesliga and Polish Ekstraklasa into account, the margin is at 6.43%.

Mr.Play offers a massive range of sports in its menus which at the time of writing this review were 30, including some less mainstream ones such as Speedway.
Football
The fact is though that the main focus is on Football. Under it there are matches from all around the world, including leagues that very few have ever lied eyes on. Wherever competitive football is played you can put a bet on, as Mr.Play will have priced it up for you. The layout is quite standard, being simple and practical to browse which means you can easily get your bets on and know when they have been accepted.
Within each league or tournament, you will find the markets for every match of it as well as outright bets such as the Outright winners, Top goal scorer etc. The list of markets for betting on each match is large and goes from the standard final result, over/under, and asian handicaps to more creative and some times exceptional bets such as A player to hit the woodwork or To score from outside the box!
The rest of the sports coverage varies based on the popularity of the sport or of each event. So, as you may expect, a Major Masters golf tournament will be better served than a lesser open invitational event, and in the same way on an NBA game you’ll find way more markets than for a minor European basketball tournament. The same formula goes through the whole list of sports.
Horse racing
The second main focus at Mr.Play is Horse racing where they cover all UK and Irish Horse racing meetings, offering prices on all the big events and races, such as Cheltenham or The Grand National, several months in advance and with all the classic markets offered. Other than that, with Mr.Play you can also bet on non-sporting events like Entertainment and Politics which can be found in the menu named Specials, in which at this time there is a partition into Internationals and United States.
Betting Limits: In Mr Play you will find some lower than average betting limits, showing its more recreational and playful image. They will still be enough for the big majority of bettors though so they most probably won’t stand in your way.
Live — normal
There a link at the upper left corner of the homepage that leads to the in-play part of the site where you can see all the live events currently playing, but also a schedule of events that are due to begin next. To enter any event of your likes and its markets, just click on it and you will be presented with all the latest odds and statistics about it. The interface of the page is clean and straightforward, making it easy for you to find what you’re looking for but also to go on and pick out your bets of choice.
The offered range of live football markets as well as events from tennis, ice hockey, basketball, volleyball and even eSports is very wide. The number of live betting markets that you can find for a live football match from the Premier League is really covering just about everything you’d expect. As for the rest of the sports found there, the coverage is good and will leave everyone happy no matter their betting habits.
There’s a scoreboard over each match, which ensures that users will never miss a goal, point or touchdown. What misses from the live section of Mr.Play though is a live streaming service which is definitely a disadvantage.
