All reviewsReview of the bookmaker Mr Green from Legalbet
Mr Green is a Swedish gambling company that started in the casino industry back in 2008. The sportsbook section took life in 2016 and by the end of 2018, the company was acquired by William Hill PLC. Mr Green has a license to operate in Malta, Italy and the UK, under the regulation of the United Kingdom Gambling Commission and the Malta Gaming Authority.
Odds — normal
We calculated the margin for Mr Green by analysing the odds they offer and placed them into one of the following three categories:
From 1% to 5%: Good value
Over 5% to 7%: Average value
Over 7% to 10%: Poor value
Football
We’re getting our results by taking into account the odds for final result outcomes measured in line with the total goals scored for different football leagues. By getting the average results using this method, we were able to obtain the margins for each league and also the overall betting margin for the bookmaker.
Mr Green has an overall margin of 5.68% for football and falls in the average value category. In the first section using odds from the Premier League, the margin is at 4.97%. The second section with Spanish La Liga and Italian Serie A, the margin is at 5.41%. Finally, by counting the English Football League One, Austrian Bundesliga and Polish Ekstraklasa into account, the margin is at 6.67%.
Betting options — good
Mr Green is very well known for its Casino, but they have expanded their business into the world of sports betting back in 2016 just before the Euro 2016. It has to be said that there are over 30 different sports to choose from at the moment, which is pretty impressive for a fairly new betting website. The sports on offer include football, tennis, rugby, horse racing, darts, American football, baseball, basketball, eSports and many more.
Football betting
This bookmaker offers odds and betting markets on football leagues from all over the world. The most important football leagues can be quickly accessed from the Popular section located on the left-hand side of the Sports page. However, if you click on the Football page you will find over 40 countries from Algeria to Vietnam, and when clicking a country you will be able to see the specific leagues.
The range of betting markets available is impressive too and the bigger the league the more individual markets on offer. Punters can wager on the most popular markets such as Match Result, First Goalscorer, Correct Score, Both Teams to Score, but there are also some exclusive Mr Green markets such as a player to hit the post, or to come on as a substitute and score.
Another feature that I found to be very helpful is the statistics tool which provides the players with great info about the previous meetings between the teams involved, the position in the standings, current form and even information about the referees and the stadiums.
In addition, Mr Green allows its customers to build their own bet with the help of the Bet Builder function.
Horse Racing
Punters who prefer horse racing can enjoy a decent selection of meetings, as Mr Green provides a decent coverage of both domestic and International racecourses. Mr Green covers all UK and Irish races, as well as some major racecourses from France, South Africa, Australian and the US.
The Horse racing section looks sharp with customers being able to navigate between the three main tabs: Next Off, Meetings and Ante-post. Only the top three horses in each race are presented on the main display, but if you click on the “Show all runners” button, then you will be able to see all the horses involved.
Please note that the races which have live streams available are being displayed with a little icon.
Betting Limits: There are options available for you to set your deposit, loss and wager limits. The minimum deposit amounts are ₤5 if you use eWallets and ₤10 if you use debit cards. All deposits are capped at ₤10,000 while the Mr Green daily winning limit is capped at ₤100,000.
Live — normal
The quality of the Mr Green live betting section is on point, as the platform it’s very easy to navigate and clear to read. The In-play area can be accessed from the little menu on the left-hand side of the Sports homepage. The live betting section displays small icons for each sport and by clicking on one of these icons, the user will be able to see the live betting events.
Going into an individual live event, you will get the full list of betting markets as well as some live stats for that specific event.
The only downside is the lack of a live streaming service, as Mr Green doesn't offer any live streams on any sporting event.
