All reviewsReview of the bookmaker Kwiff from Legalbet
Kwiff was launched back in 2015 by Kwiff Limited, which operates under the guidance of parent company Eaton Gate Gaming Limited. The initial Kwiff Limited was founded by Anders Strom, the founder of Unibet, along with Karl Engstrom. Kwiff offers sports betting services and initially was designed for mobile users only, but now they also have a website available for its customers. Kwiff it’s mostly known for their ‘Supercharged’ or ‘Kwiffed’ feature and it operates in the United Kingdom due to their licence from the UK Gambling Commission.
Odds — bad
We calculated the margin for Kwiff by analysing the odds they offer and placed them into one of the following three categories:
From 1% to 5%: Good value
Over 5% to 7%: Average value
Over 7% to 10%: Poor value
Football
We’re getting our results by taking into account the odds for final result outcomes measured in line with the total goals scored for different football leagues. By getting the average results using this method, we were able to obtain the margins for each league and also the overall betting margin for the bookmaker.
Kwiff has an overall margin of 11.71% for football and falls in the (beyond) poor value category. In the first section using odds from the Premier League, the margin is at 11.45%. The second section with Spanish La Liga and Italian Serie A, the margin is at 11.40%. Finally, by counting the English Football League One, Austrian Bundesliga and Polish Ekstraklasa into account, the margin is at 12.29%.
Betting options — bad
We have marked our betting experience with Kwiff Sports with poor because they only have 11 sports available to wager on. This means that the casual bettor is pretty limited when it comes to the range of betting markets. It’s true that most of the punters like to bet on popular sports like football, horse racing or tennis, but sometimes during the week you’re not being able to find value on these markets. Let’s have a closer look at the football and horse racing sections, as these are the top two sports here at Kwiff.
Football betting
Although they don’t have the same depth as some other bookies in the industry, Kwiff does well to cover the main competitions across several sports. Only the main European football competitions come with loads of betting markets, while the obscure leagues don’t have that many betting options. However, the most popular betting markets are available, including the Match Winner, Half-Time/Full-Time, Correct Score, Goalscorers, Draw No Bet, Both Teams to Score, and many more key markets.
It has to be said that Kwiff offers a unique feature, known as ‘Kwiffed bets’ or Supercharged bets. Kwiffed bets are similar to price boosts or enhanced odds, but the difference is that it can apply to any bet of any size, no matter the initial odds. However, this feature is random and there is no limit, meaning that your odds could get increased five times, 50 times or even more.
Horse racing
The horse racing section can be accessed from the sports menu located at the top of the main page and it contains loads of meetings from across the world. At the moment in time, customers can wager on meetings from the United Kingdom, France, South Africa and Japonia. The horse racing section displays the next 5 races as well as today’s or tomorrow’s meetings. On each meeting, the punters will be able to find useful info about form, age and weight for each horse, as well as a race preview.
In addition, Kwiff offers a decent range of promotions and offers for the major festivals of the year such as Cheltenham, Grand National, Aintree, etc.
Betting limits: Kwiff reserves the right to limit the maximum payout on any bet or combination of bets to £50,000 per day without the original stake.
Live — normal
Eleven out of the twelve sports at Kwiff Sports have in-play betting markets available to bet on. The number of live betting markets available is pretty decent, even for some obscure matches. The bad thing is that the Live Betting section is a bit messy, with the live events being listed all in one place and not being sorted by sports. The good news is that even the in-play odds can be ‘Kwiffed’, which only means that customers can receive higher odds while wagering on live events.
Unfortunately, Kwiff doesn’t provide live streaming at all, which is definitely a big minus for this bookmaker.
