The Serie A Matchday 29 clash between Lazio and Milan will take place on 15 March at the Olimpico in Rome. Lazio vs Milan: prediction, betting odds and statistics.
Lazio
In the previous round, Lazio beat Sassuolo (2:1), picking up a vital three points and ending a winless run – the team had gone four league matches without a victory (2 draws, 2 defeats). However, a push for European places is no longer realistic, and their only chance of silverware this season is the Coppa Italia. At present, Lazio sit 10th in the standings with 37 points after 28 matches. It is also worth highlighting the hosts’ low scoring output: they have netted just 28 goals, the worst tally by this metric among the teams in the top half of the table.
- Lazio have conceded in six straight home Serie A matches.
- In 14 home games in the 2025/26 season, the team have recorded six wins (4 draws, 4 defeats).
- In 22 of Lazio’s last 23 league matches, they have scored no more than two goals.
Potential Lazio Lineup (4-3-3)*
Marco Carnesecchi – Berat Djimsiti, Giorgio Scalvini, Sead Kolasinac – Nicola Zalewski, Mario Pasalic, Lazar Samardzic, Davide Zappacosta – Giacomo Raspadori, Ederson, Nikola Krstovic.
Defenders Mario Gila, Manuel Lazzari and Samuel Gigot, forwards Mattia Zaccagni and Pedro Rodriguez, and midfielder Toma Basic will miss the match through injury.
Milan
In the last round, Milan won the derby against Inter 1:0. The club have now recorded their 17th victory in the current league campaign (9 draws, 2 defeats). Even so, the gap to the leaders in the table remains sizeable – seven points. Meanwhile, the advantage over the nearest chasers is four points, so everything is still to play for. It is also worth adding that the visitors have conceded only 20 goals in 28 matches, the best defensive record in the division.
- The club have scored in 11 straight away league games.
- From 14 away matches in the current season, Milan have recorded nine wins (5 draws).
- No more than three goals have been scored in Milan’s last eight Serie A matches.
Potential Milan Lineup (3-5-2)*
Mike Maignan – Koni De Winter, Fikayo Tomori, Strahinja Pavlovic – Davide Bartesaghi, Luka Modric, Samuele Ricci, Zachary Athekame, Ardon Jashari – Christopher Nkunku, Rafael Leao.
Forward Santiago Gimenez and defender Ruben Loftus-Cheek will not play due to injury.

Lazio vs Milan: Match Prediction
Lazio have even found success at home less frequently of late. The team have managed only two wins in their last eight home league matches (3 draws, 3 defeats), and they only managed to edge past Sassuolo in stoppage time in the previous round. Maurizio Sarri’s men once again conceded on home soil, although this time it was just one goal, whereas in the five previous games at the Olimpico the club had shipped at least two each time. Lazio’s defensive issues are obvious, and in the upcoming match they will be hosting one of the league’s most prolific sides.
At the same time, Milan look the more organised opponent, and we should not forget that the club have failed to score in only one away match this season, while they have not lost on the road at all. Moreover, they claimed a psychologically important derby win last time out. The gap in the table is still significant, so for Massimiliano Allegri’s side it is crucial to minimise dropped points.
In their current state, Lazio are unlikely to cause serious problems for Allegri’s team. The hosts also do not hold the upper hand in head-to-head meetings.
