Cremonese vs AC Milan: prediction & betting odds 1 March 2026

The Serie A matchday 27 clash between Cremonese and Milan will take place on 1 March at the Giovanni Zini Stadium. Cremonese vs Milan: prediction, betting odds and statistics.

Cremonese

The match against Roma last round clearly highlighted Cremonese’s main problem — a lack of threat in attack. Over the entire contest, the home team managed just two shots on goal, while the opposition struck three times. Their winless run has now stretched to 12 league matches (four draws, eight defeats), and each setback pushes the hosts closer to relegation to the Serie B. Yes, they have found it frankly difficult against opponents who are superior in quality. However, problems also arise in matches against their direct rivals in the table — which is likely why the club sit among the five lowest-scoring sides in the league. After 26 rounds, the team have scored 21 goals — the fifth-worst tally in the division.

  • In their last six home matches in the Serie A, the hosts have not recorded a single victory (three draws, two defeats).

  • At least one side failed to score in five of the previous six league games at Cremonese’s ground.

  • In seven straight matches in this competition, the club have not scored more than one goal.

Potential Cremonese Lineup (3-5-2)*

Emil Audero — Sebastiano Luperto, Francesco Folino, Filippo Terracciano — Giuseppe Pezzella, Youssef Maleh, Jari Vandeputte, Morten Thorsby, Alessio Zerbin — Antonio Sanabria, Federico Bonazzoli.

Defenders Federico Baschirotto and Romano Floriani Mussolini, midfielders Martin Payero and Michele Collocolo, and forward Faris Moumbagna will miss the match through injury.

Milan

Last round’s defeat to Parma (0:1) was only Milan’s second loss of the league campaign (15 wins, nine draws). Notably, in the 2025/26 season the away team failed to score in a home match for the first time. There were chances to respond: the squad registered 25 attempts on goal, six of them on target, but it brought no reward. Still, their current position in the standings means the club can absorb this slip without serious consequences. Milan trail the leaders by 10 points, and it is highly likely that reducing such a gap will already be difficult, but dropping out of the European places looks unlikely. Overall, the team are enjoying a solid season: they boast the league’s third-best defence and the same ranking in attack — 41 goals scored and 20 conceded.

  • Across their last seven Serie A matches, the visitors have recorded four wins (two draws, one defeat).

  • No more than three goals were scored in six of the club’s previous league games.

  • The club have scored in 10 consecutive away matches in this competition.

Potential Milan Lineup (3-5-2)*

Mike Maignan — Koni De Winter, Fikayo Tomori, Strahinja Pavlovic — Davide Bartesaghi, Luka Modric, Samuele Ricci, Zakari Atekame, Ardon Jashari — Christopher Nkunku, Rafael Leao.

Forward Santiago Gimenez and midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek will miss out, and defender Matteo Gabbia will not play due to injury.

Cremonese vs Milan: Match Prediction

Looking at this fixture, it is difficult to see what Cremonese can rely on to push for a victory. As we have already noted, the home side have one of the weakest attacks in the league, and the issues are evident not only against top opponents, but also in games against sides around them in the table. At the same time, Cremonese’s defence does not look completely disastrous: they have conceded 36 goals in 26 rounds, yet in three of their previous four Serie A matches the team conceded at least twice.

Milan have looked extremely reliable defensively throughout the season: 20 goals conceded in 26 rounds, with only nine of those coming away from home. The visiting team are also strong going forward on the road: across 13 away games, they have scored 23 goals — only Inter have more (26). It also matters that Massimiliano Allegri’s side have found the net in 12 of 13 away fixtures, including seven occasions where they scored at least twice.

Against this backdrop, a meeting with a Cremonese side that have started allowing too much in front of their own goal is unlikely to be an exception: Milan should score and take points. However, to reduce the risk, we suggest opting for a more cautious selection.

Prediction: Milan, double chance + Over 1.5 goals
